Thanksgiving Special Checks

Attention Penn students, faculty and staff:

Special Checks Program is back for Thanksgiving Break.

Penn Police and AlliedBarton Security Officers will physically check the exterior of registered properties periodically for signs of criminal activity or security breaches. If any are discovered, the officers will take the appropriate action, including conducting an interior check of the property with subsequent notification to the listed occupant.

If you would like to register your residence for Special Checks while you are away during Thanksgiving Break, complete the online application form on the DPS website:

Or, you can pick up an application at DPS Headquarters, located at 4040 Chestnut Street.

The Special Check program is available to Penn faculty, staff and students located within the Penn Patrol Zone (30th - 43rd Streets and Market Street to Baltimore Avenue.
